24 year-old Greg Pritchard, whose male soprano voice shocked the judges on Britain’s Got Talent, is no stranger to life on the stage.
But, amazingly, Greg was banned from singing in his previous stage job. Instead he had to stand at the back and dance when he performed with a Take That tribute act.
He told us, “I haven’t done much singing work”.
“When I was in the Take That act I was just a backing dancer with a microphone.”
“The act played in pubs and clubs and even travelled across Wales and Ireland to perform.”
“But it always seemed a bit of a waste, because I couldn’t sing much. There wasn’t much call for a high counter tenor voice in Take That!”
The South Wales singer remained in the act for three months before ‘doing a Robbie’ and popping off to work on his own sound.
Now Greg is now hoping this will be his chance to, ahem, Shine!![]()
