Olly Murs, the likeable, cheeky chap from Essex, first hit our screens by wowing The X Factor judges performing Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’. It prompted Simon Cowell to proclaim “ that’s the easiest yes I have ever given”.
A star was born, and there has been no turning back for Olly. Having sung his way through to the final of the 2009 show, Murs eventually ended up as runner up and has been in popular demand ever since- stocking up almost 100 live dates of his own since the show.
In February 2010, Olly signed a joint record deal between Epic Records and Syco Music. His hotly tipped debut single that he co-wrote, titled “Please Don’t Let Me Go,” will be released on 29th August, followed by an album scheduled for November.
It’s pretty clear that the enthusiastic singer will be around for quite some time!
