Shaun Smith has been performing on stage since the age of 12 but he has always been a performer, doing Elvis impressions for his family when he was just 4 years old. He believes that are a wide range of songs that suit his voice. Shaun wants to be known for having a good voice and would love to perform at the Carling Academy in Birmingham. He just wants to make people happy through his singing. Shaun’s other big love is rugby which he plays three times a week.

The seventeen-year-old left Amanda all of a flutter with his Ain’t No Sunshine rendition, and Simon praised: “You are like Mick Hucknall – but good looking”.

Yes, the rugby loving sixth former does indeed have the whole package – and that package includes a girlfriend, sixteen-year-old Emily, who he’s been dating for nearly a year.

And, bless ‘im, Shaun seems pretty loved-up!

We asked the fit fella how he’ll deal with all the female attention fame will bring, and he exclusively told us:

“I am not bothered by it, really. I really, really like the girl I am with at the moment and hopefully she will protect me.”

“I think I will be okay with the attention of being on Britain’s Got Talent. I’m not a shy person”.

“But I have a great girlfriend and I’m happy. She might have to keep me on a tight leash, but I think she will keep me in line!”
