JLS, Shaheen and Diversity shine at MOBOs

The X Factor stars JLS picked up 2 awards last night for Best Newcomer & Best Song while N-Dubz took home the Best UK Act and Best Album awards.

The night was dedicated to Michael Jackson with an introduction by La Toya Jackson and a musical tribute by Britain’s Got Talent runner-up, Shaheen Jafargholi.

Britain’s got Talent winners Diversity meanwhile, wowed the audience with a dance medley to a selection of Jackson songs. Jermaine then rounded off the special tribute with ‘Smile’ to his brother.

Hosted by Radio 1’s Reggie Yates and US songstress Keri Hilson, the stand out performances of the night included a duet by Taio Cruz and Keri Hilson, and Kelly Rowland and David Guetta’s number one, ‘When Love Takes Over.’

Beyonce Knowles won the Best International and Best Video award but her achievements were marred when the crowd booed during her video message for failing to attend the ceremony.

Neither Dizzee Rascal or Tinchy Strider, who were nominated for three awards each, won a single prize.
