Stav the great

Just a quick note to remind everyone that Industry Music Group is the sole and exclusive agents of Stavros Flatley.

When father and son act Stavros Flatley ran on stage at the Hammersmith Apollo for the Britain’s Got Talent auditions, nobody could predict what was to come. They became an overnight sensation, and were many people’s favourite to win the show.
It all started when Demetri owned a Greek restaurant in North London. The food was notoriously bad, but the cabaret performances were legendary! It was at the restaurant that Demetri developed the Stavros Flatley character.

He eventually closed the restaurant and started a successful electrical business with his brother, but when he saw an advert for Britain’s Got Talent 2009 auditions, he decided to dust off the old leather trousers and try his luck. This time however, his son Lagi told Demetri he wanted to join him on stage. They had never performed together before, but decided to give it a go.

At the auditions they wowed all three judges, with Simon Cowell admitting they were one of his ‘favourite ever dance acts’. Turning in hilarious performances of Cry of The Celts, Lord of The Dance, and Zorba The Greek, they went on to reach the final, with Amanda Holden admitting they were her personal favourites.

Since the show, they have been busy performing all over the world, including China, Holland, France, Spain, Cyprus and Greece, and of course all over the UK and Ireland.

At Christmas 2009, they released the critically acclaimed book, ‘How To Be (A Little Bit) Greek’ through Trans World Publishers. Filled with jokes, anecdotes, recipes, and loads more, it went on to be a huge seller over the festive period.

Not just loved for their brilliant dance routines, their infectious personalities have attracted much attention and they are now the new face of a major TV advertising campaign for ‘Mazuma Mobile’ in the in the UK. They have also landed themselves a presenting role with MTV UK, and performed at Glastonbury 2010.

The future is incredibly bright for Stavros Flatley.
