Diana Vickers – The Boy Who Murdered Love.
Diana Vickers first came to prominence in 2008 on The X Factor, when the girl from Blackburn finished fourth.
The girl that we saw then spent a year out of the limelight and rapidly became a woman. Diana hit the West End stage, appearing in Jim Cartwright’s ‘The Rise and Fall of Little Voice’ and eventually won the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoer’s Choice Award ‘London Newcomer Of The Year’ in February 2010 for her performance.
It wasn’t just the West End that appealed to Diana though as she was busy working with some of the hottest names in music on her own material.
In April 2010 Diana released her debut single, ‘Once’. The track was an instant hit and flew in at number one in the UK charts, selling 70,000 copies in the first week of release.
Shortly after, Diana’s debut album ‘Songs From The Tainted Cherry Tree’ was released and, like the single, it went straight to number one.
Since the release Diana has performed at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, The iTunes Festival as well as numerous solo dates.
In 2011 Diana unveiled her own Very retro fashion collection and still just twenty, the future is looking extremely bright for Diana.
