Hailing from Essex and Cambridge, Twenty Twenty are lead singer and guitarist Sam Halliday, his brother bassist Jack Halliday and drummer Sonny Watson-Lang. The band formed in early 2009 after Sonny agreed to play drums with the Halliday brothers.
Since then the trio have steadily created an incredible buzz prior to their major label signing. Honing their craft playing live shows with the likes of JLS, McFly, Selena Gomez and The Sugababes and touring the UK on their own headline sold-out tours throughout 2010, they amassed a huge fan base along the way.
Their hard work has seen them achieve amazing results as an independent band. They currently have over 60,000 fans on Facebook, whilst early independently-released video ‘Get Down’ featured as Kerrang! video of the week and along with the video ‘Worlds Apart’ enjoyed heavy rotation on The Box and Chart Show TV.
Their independently released ‘Get Down Live With Twenty Twenty’ DVD sensationally reached No.4 in the UK’s music DVD charts, behind only the likes of U2 and Michael Jackson.
The band will undoubtedly add to their massive fan base by touring as support on The Saturdays UK tour throughout February, while they have also supported The Wanted in March and April.
New single Move It comes out in October and with a debut album on the horizon, it’s a very busy time for this talented trio.
