Lauren Goodger’s on-screen fame came from ITV2 reality television show ‘The Only Way Is Essex’. The show is primarily filmed in Brentwood close to London and shows their lives as young, rich Essex boys and girls. It debuted on 10th October 2010 and began with a ten-part series, averaging at 1.5 million.
Lauren, 25, is one of the main characters in the reality show and her central story follows her long-suffering on/off relationship with Mark Wright.
Due to the show’s success a ‘best-of’ episode was made; entitled ‘Totally Vajazzled’, and following this a Christmas special named ‘Essexmas’.
A second, and subsequently a third, series were unsurprisingly commissioned in 2011.
